culture is at the cusp of a major revolution in technology… from the DR. with his iphone walking around with medical texts at his fingertips, to politicians tweeting while on the floor of congress, to governments engaging in cyber warfare (china, russia, that other small country starts w an M, or some shit).

it feels like the world is changing, drastically! I seem like I can observe the changes, having been born at this crux in history. instant communication is replacing snail mail and answering machineless land lines. It seems weird to see one side of the fence, the “old” way, so obsolete. I grew up having pen pals in other parts of the world and waiting weeks for replys via federal mail.

now we have social networking, all the information you can want about something, or someone is a few seconds away! I know I am def. an anachronism - or maybe an early adapter, having embraced it all. I noticed the way the changes effected my interpersonal relationships with people. was I born a generation or two too early? people get weirded out by my inclination to embrace technology, but I get weirded out by their aversion to it!

by embrace tech. I mean to utilize it every chance I get. to google for news and information wherever I go, or whatever I want. to feel contempt for the willful ignorance of others, in a world where the information is readily available! I feel the limitations of today’s technology, but also the boundless freedoms it can allow. lol, I want a seagate 3 terabyte hard drive implanted in my skull, and I want wifi in my anus. I wish I can ctrl + f through physical books.

the ghost in the shell is becoming a reality. I only wish I were born 50 years in the future. well, I will be, if you believe those buddhists…
